Reading Teacher of the Year

Each reading council in Virginia is asked to select its "most outstanding reading teacher" for the distinctive award presented by The Virginia State Reading Association- the Ofie T. Rubin Reading Teacher of the Year Award.  The Roanoke Valley Reading Council is actively seeking nominations.  Would you think about teachers with whom you work?  Do you know a teacher who deserves to be recognized? The nominee must be a member of the Roanoke Valley Reading Council for at least the past two years (2009/2010 and 2010/2011).  Deadline for applications is November 5.   Further information about this award may be found at the Virginia State Reading Association web site  or email Tamara Teaff. Thank you for your consideration of this project.
